First Snow

In my opinion there are two things in life that get college students excited:Beer and Snow!I don't have any beer but what I have is snow.Today was the first snow of winter and it wasn't magical like it usually is.It was the kind of snow that is mixed with rain and it's cold and it's sticking to your face and you can't tell that it's snow unless you see that it's white.I was walking up to get lunch and of course I wasn't wearing a heavy jacket so I was freezing and I was surprised to see it on the 6th day of November so I had to call my mom and ask her if it really was snow.Needless to say,it was snow and later on I went up for dinner in the same jacket and it was snowing still.Sometimes snow makes things better and I think that's what I need because college isn't turning out to be what I hoped it would.I like most of my classes and there are people here that I genuinely like and enjoy being around,but maybe the fact that I'm an only child is hindering my ability to have a good dorm life along with my good college life.It just seems like I'm not wanted here and I'm sick of trying to fix things to make it standable for me. TV doesn't prepare you for this.It isn't like Joey and Audrey on Dawson's Creek or Laverne and Shirley in general(I know they weren't in college but I like the referance).Hopefully certain people will come through again like they did last time and try to help me,because I know that there are people here that really care and want to help.It's just horrible feeling like your homeless and out of your element when you're paying over $2000.I have a Argument and Research paper to get to so my diatribe will stop here.Adios.
